Nope it’s not tsunami, or earthquake or the bird flu
They came shyly at first and and they came in small numbers too
But now, the minute your back is turned, there is even more

We learned of the exciting world of internet marketing
Despite ourselves we ditch our day jobs and hope to survive
Internet marketing is the new age and fashionable thing 
To make money while you sleep and succeed in life

We believe in earnest, we better do
That internet marketing can make you a guru
There’s Guru, DoRu, and Patric Chan-do
If Patric chan-do it, so can you!

But Patric is a Malaysian, and we have our Singapore pride
Johan Mok burst onto the stage and Singapore slang he tried
However some said he is made in America so that doesn’t count
It doesn’t matter my friend, Ewen Chia is the hottest guy about town

The town is hit by more internet experts and there is one,
A mighty man with a mighty force and who fears none
He is known to be the man with a bullet in his leg
He frequents Singapore so often, let’s buy him teh tarik!

At WIS I learned of new things
Amongst which is the art of selling
Tom Hua will be remembered for his selling tricks
I remember my friend Jassu rushed for his tix!

My life is enriched this past year and then some
For I have shaken the hands of very successful men
They inspire me for their humility despite their success
Indeed Willie Crawford,Ted Ciuba, Stephen Pierce, they have class!

Alvin Toh is a man I salute alot
In the past year, this newbie is now not
He recently took the stage with Roy and Jaz
And they courageously did their show with pizazz!

The gurus say internet marketing will liberate you
From  the hard life of working and slogging
Truth be told, that is not entirely true
For I work even when I am sleeping.

My dreams will be about traffic and list
And the clever ways to work the least
Then there’s Web 2.0, social bookmark and youtube
And RSS feeds are not baby food!

I have no regrets, I have a lot of passion
But I wish I have plenty of patience and a ton of money
To keep me going while I diligently do optimisation
And make money this side of the century.

My partner Shafir and I vow ernestly
To be obscenely rich and be  at the top of the class
But if I quit this adventure a bit too quickly
I need you, my friends, to kick my ass!
